Dialog

Lora: Some people don't understand how we do things

Randy (casual): I knew

Lora: They bothered me a lot

Lora (casual): I wasn't sure how to respond to them

Randy (casual): What did they ask you?

Lora: For example, they asked me

Lora: why don't you use a CMS for your website

Lora: The main one at Peace.GoodEasy.info

Lora: Why don't you have visual identity for the site

Randy (casual): They assumed that we does not know about visual identity or CMS

Randy (happy): the reality is our key members make a living

Randy: in advertising and digital media industry

Randy (casual): We did lots of this kind of things for clients and ourselves.

Randy: But we choose not to do it

Randy: for that umbrella site of peace network.

Randy: Plenty of websites of our projects have clear visual identities.

Randy: But for the main site,

Randy: we don't feel like to have it,

Randy: I will explain more.

Randy: You can tell these people:

Randy: For their information,

Randy (casual): We authored a popular open source CMS,

Randy: it's our CHOICE to use our own system at this moment,

Randy: which is resource efficient and easier to maintain.

Randy: Did they know in our advertising career,

Randy: clients need to pay extra money to us

Randy (casual): in order to get a customized CMS ?

Randy: We also had plenty bad experience with those CMS

Randy: They are probably thinking about,

Randy: such as security, disk space,

Randy: I am not going to detail it here.

Randy: I am sorry that I have to teach them

Randy (casual): industry common senses.

Randy: What they asked us to do is like

Randy: try to teach a Mexican person how to speak Spanish.

Randy (casual): Spanish is their native language

Lora: These people also asked me

Lora: Why don't we do things in the way

Lora: those big organizations do?

Randy (casual): They assumed again, that

Randy (casual): organizations has to operate in a way similar to

Randy: those so called big organizations.

Randy (casual): They must not familiar with anarchism,

Randy: headless movement, networks,

Randy: or things like that.

Randy: Those are very effective methods of social changes.

Randy (casual): Being with activism for more than 10 years,

Randy: we produced and witnessed

Randy (casual): many this kind of campaigns and movements,

Randy: many of them changed the main stream views of

Randy (casual): society upside down.

Randy: They just did not hear about it.

Randy (casual): We don't like that people accept our ideas because

Randy (casual): they are somehow intimidated by our look of 'authority'.

Randy: We value free thinkers who can think independently and

Randy: Feel what we said indeed make sense.

Randy: Ask them to be creative,

Randy (casual): don't copy what so called 'authorities' or 'mainstream'

Randy: ways of doing things.

Randy: We have lots of criticism to those so called big organizations,

Randy (casual): for their corruption and their unscientific campaign messages.

Lora: But these people would say

Lora: Those 'big organisations' brought more changes,

Lora (casual): That's why you should doing in their way

Randy (casual): Again, that is an assumption.

Randy (casual): Very often, the difference is

Randy (casual): 'big organization' bring themselves

Randy: more money and fame.

Randy: In contrast,

Randy: We focus on making the differences,

Randy (casual): bringing positive things into the world.

Lora: One guy asked me why we do not have a logo on the website

Randy: because logo is essentially a

Randy (casual): territory mark,

Randy (casual): if he studies deep into animals behaviour

Randy (casual): he will understand this.

Randy: Humans are animals

Randy (angry): Territorial behaviour causing the conflicts

Randy: between humans

Randy: it is against our idea of inclusion and peace

Randy (casual): for a peace network like ours

Randy: we don't feel like to have a territorial mark

Randy: on the website.

Randy (casual): Everyone should be united,

Randy: we are one,

Randy: we does not need an identity showing that

Randy (casual): we are the separate one with a territory.

Randy (casual): But I understand being a guy,

Randy: he may like the mark,

Randy: it is his instinct -

Randy (casual): scientifically speaking,

Randy: human females are more peaceful than their males.

Randy: Guys are also relied on visual information more.

Randy: Our organization value females style of peace building.

Lora (casual): How do I respond if people ask me

Lora: why we don't spend more time

Lora (casual): on the looks of the website?

Randy (casual): we don't usually like to deal with superficial people

Randy: who care about the look instead of the messages.

Randy: Hierarchical thinking is unintelligent and is not popular among us.

Randy (casual): If people study math they will know

Randy: human societies in most of cases are not

Randy: triangles, hierarchical, in nature,

Randy (happy): instead everyone depends on everyone else..

Randy (casual): Lives on earth is a NETWORK.

Randy: We believe in equality of all life in this general way.

Randy: In fact, one problem of those 'big organization'

Randy (angry): is they are usually very hierarchical.

Randy (casual): We don't know if they bring more good

Randy: or more bad into the world.

Randy: ......

Randy (casual): So it's GREAT that

Randy: our website don't attract those

Randy (casual): annoy superficial people.

Randy: ......

Randy (angry): Hierarchical behaviour has one very dark side,

Randy: that is, bullying those

Randy (sad): who does not appear to be powerful.

Randy: Please ask these people open their mind,

Randy (happy): there are nice and influential people out there,

Randy: they don't bother to do power display

Randy (casual): and put on a look of authority

Randy: because they are not insecure,

Randy (casual): and they usually prefer to deal with nice people

Randy: who won't bully the weaker ones.

Randy (love): A really nice person is kind to everyone,

Randy: includes those who are weak.

Randy (casual): And we want more people to become like that.

Randy (casual): We won't change our website to

Randy: a hierarchical, superficial manner,

Randy (casual): even after we had the unpleasant experience

Randy (casual): with some people

Randy (love): because we truly believe in our philosophy.

Lora: You said make a lot of sense to me,

Lora (casual): But what should I do if I told them all those

Lora: But they are still not convinced?

Randy (casual): In the most unfortunate case,

Randy: if nothing can change their views

Randy: except the bully from authorities.

Randy (casual): You can assure them,

Randy: we are world-class in the main stream authority system.

Randy (casual): But we do not like to brag about it,

Randy (casual): because it is against our philosophy.

Lora: I know this kind of things

Lora: are difficult for many people to understand,

Lora: because we grew up in

Lora (casual): the 'common senses' in the society

Lora: such as territorial and hierarchical thinking

Randy: Remember, that 'common sense' is not universal.

Randy (casual): If people want to learn more about the real human nature

Randy (casual): They must be aware and understand the cultures variations

Randy (casual): People who know me for long time

Randy: Know that I am usually very nice,

Randy: But when people keep pushing me

Randy: ask silly questions about our organisation

Randy (angry): I have to talk in this confrontational manner,

Randy: I don't like talk this way though

Randy (casual): But otherwise can they get our points?

Randy: I am always wondering

Randy (casual): Why don't we just be nice to each other in the first place?

Lora: I think the motivation of these people who asked questions may be good,

Lora: but they were trapped in certain way of doing things.

Lora (casual): Our difference with them is philosophical,

Lora (casual): not personal.

Randy: I am aware that a lots of people out there think like them,

Randy (casual): I usually ignore them,

Randy: I sometime want to respond to them

Randy (casual): Because some of them seems to have

Randy: the potential to understand .

Randy (love): the potential to become an intelligent and kind person
